Mutt Strut presented by the Dog Obedience Training Club

Saturday, September 23, 2017

Come celebrate the end of the dog days of summer with your canine on Saturday, September 23 at the 11th annual Mutt Strut on Cape May’s Beachfront Promenade.  Strut with your dog anytime between 8 am and noon, for a requested donation of $1 per leg ($2 per person, $4 per dog).  Registration is required and is held near Convention Hall, Beach Avenue at Gurney Street.  The rain date is Sunday, September 24.

The event is popular with locals and visitors alike, with many noting they have attended the event every year. Adding to the enjoyment are dog trick and dog costume contests with prizes, T-shirts for purchase and auction.

The event sponsor, Cape May County Dog Obedience Training Club (CMCDOTC), an AKC affiliated club, has held local dog training classes for forty years.  Part of the event proceeds help the group’s training classes and community outreach. Walkers also support a worthwhile cause, with part of the proceeds this year to the Wildwood Police K-9 Program.

For more information on the Mutt Strut or dog training classes call 609-827-5267, email, visit or on facebook.

Dog lovers, Come!  In costume if you wish, and strut with your mutt, or strut without paws to support a worthwhile cause.
